Geraldine Volunteer Fire Department
The Geraldine Fire Department is an all volunteer agency. It was founded in 1958 and has served the Town of Geraldine and the surrounding rural areas since. It is rated one of the top Fire Departments in the State of Alabama with a rating of 6. The department is comprised of 18 members.
The Fire Department holds regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month beginning at 6 pm at the Geraldine Fire Hall located at 12969 AL Hwy 227, Geraldine.

Chief Brandon Cunningham joined the Geraldine Fire Department in April of 2007. After joining, he became a Certified Volunteer Firefighter after completing the Firefighter 160 and Hazmat A&O. He also completed Firefighter II and Apparatus Operator: Mobile Water Supply. Chief Cunningham was promoted to Sergeant in February 2013 and to Assistant Chief in October 2015. He was promoted to Chief in November 2016.
